Woke up today with a new sign-up who complained 4 hours was too long to wait for a support response. When I pushed back on that and said most companies, big and small, do not respond that quickly. He said he can name "heaps of startups" that respond within minutes, and that he'd get an immediate response from HubSpot. HubSpot is a $23.4B company. To compare us with them is outrageously unreasonable. This user is on trial and so far has paid us $0. For context, our product starts at $99. Consumer expectations being completely out of whack is just one thing I didn’t know before that makes bootstrapping a SaaS startup incredibly hard.
