I made my first $10,000 on LinkedIn in 2020. I've rebranded at least 69x. Outlasted all my peers. Here's how I reinvent my brand (and you can too) Most new users on LinkedIn make one big mistake. They assume people care. Here's a harsh truth for all of you. Pull up your pants and get ready for this... Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, cares about your brand. Everyone scrolling the LinkedIn feed is: -looking to learn -looking to be entertained -looking for some more clients -looking for some inspiration to go back to work Nobody spends more than a few seconds reading your content and caring about what you say. This is true whether you have 5k or 500k followers. I've reinvented myself 69x or more. It's easy because I also know this truth. People forget; no, really, they do. I took a unique route to build a personal brand. Instead of picking common branding themes. I went with weird things to be known for: In 2020 I was "the guy who hated bacon" In 2021 I was "the meme/discord/part time wizard" In 2022 I was "the unhinged drunk campervan guy" In 2023 I was "the hustle bro/traveling/agency guy" In 2024 I will be "the AI in a not boring way guy" and... By Q3, I'll probably evolve to something different. Here's the deal: Nobody remembers my bacon posts. Nobody remembers my meme battles. Nobody remembers the campervan guy.. Nobody remembers I've been banned 7x... (ok maybe a couple of people) But really my followers care about one thing: ā What do you make me feel now Luke? It's actually freeing. Here's a tip. The next time you overthink your brand. Do this. STOP what you are doing. Walk over to a mirror. Look at yourself. Say these words: "Nobody cares; I'm free to change, pivot, and adapt. I will outlast everyone" Now go back to your computer and get to work. Because if you want to still be on LinkedIn in 2025... You have to take some chances. You have to be willing to change. You have to adapt and get better. LinkedIn changes fast. I'm ready. Are you?
