You're not supposed to build an audience.
You're supposed to:
→ Establish authority
→ Gain credibility
→ Build a reputation
→ Create value
A loyal follower base is the byproduct of doing these.
Not the other way around.

I've built a small startup team of freelancers.
→ We work remotely and async
→ 95% of communication is written
→ We never have meetings
We collaborate and work towards a shared goal - and mind our own business at the same time.
Yes, both can be true 👌
And it's an excellent way of working together.

💀 This is why your SaaS isn't growing...
→ You think you know better than your users
→ You're wasting time on meetings
→ You're not experimenting
→ You're not building automation
→ You're too feature-focused
→ You're not customer-focused
→ You don't spend time on marketing
→ You think users will come if you build a great product

15 years as a freelancer/business owner!
Here's my journey 👇
- Simple WordPress pages (side hustle).
$10K/year.
- WordPress webshops and blogs.
$40K/year.
- Web apps in React & NodeJS.
$100K/year.
- Full-stack web apps in React, NodeJS & AWS.
$300K/year.
- SaaS Founder & YouTuber
$1M/year (and growing 🚀)
Software development took me far.
But it was when I added writing, video editing, marketing, and building a presence online that things really started taking off.

They say entrepreneurship is risky...
You know what's actually risky?
→ Having a single income source.
→ Living paycheck to paycheck.
→ Working a job you hate.
→ A life full of "have to" and no "like to".
→ No time and energy to prioritize health.

Failing a startup has a ton of advantages:
- You learn a lot about building a SaaS
- You produce artifacts that you can reuse
- You create a network of founders and makers
All things that will help your second (or third, or fourth) startup succeed.
Get going! 2024 is the perfect year to start failing some startups 💪

As a CEO, your job is to replace yourself from as many roles in your company as possible.
But in order to replace yourself, you need to have actually done all the things first!
Yes. In the beginning, you're going to be running around like a madman, pretending you're the head of development, UI/UX, advertising, accounting, legal, supply management, and cleaning.
And it's a super important step!
Do first. Then replace yourself later.
Delegating work you are clueless about is the best way to screw yourself over.

I'm an average developer.
I'm not a professional marketer.
I don't have a degree in anything.
I'm a self-taught generalist.
Yet...
→ I became a $300K/year consultant!
→ I run 4 bootstrapped SaaS businesses!
→ I fully control my own time!
Being an expert is overrated...
