When doing outreach, a good icebreaker makes or breaks it.

Should you include notes in your invites?

Yes … and … No.

What?

We all know that personalization is a thing.

Is it?

I’ve experienced different scenarios:

→ Sh*tty connection notes.

→ Great connection notes.

→ No connection notes.

Most connection notes I am reading are “sh*t”.

“I want to extend my network” (BOOORING)

“You are SOOOO EXPERIENCED” (How do you know?)

“Your accomplishments …” (How do you know?)

“I’ve seen your post … “ (BLA BLA BLA)

Then, there are GREAT notes:

→ Mentioning SPECIFICS.

→ Mentioning something I do.

→ Connect with me emotionally.

→ Cut straight to the point (I love cold outreach).

I always encourage my customers:

Try WITHOUT an invitation note first.

People will always tell you that THEY wouldn't start a business.

But when I learned one thing:

𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗡𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲.

If you want to follow your dreams, it won't be easy.

You will struggle.

You will question yourself.

You WILL FAIL.

And NOTHING on this planet will help you to avoid these times of feeling low.

In this regard, there are three types of people:

1. Those who don't dare to dream.

2. Those who dream and don't act.

3. Those who dream and act.

I made my choice of which bucket I wanted to be in.
